Weekly howdy-do

Don't have much time math and science assessments are calling. Anyway, my kids did their first podcast today. I'm more than a little excited about it. Click the title of this post and it should download. They did a great job.

I'm spending less and less time teaching and more and more time doing required assessments. Again, that's another rant for another day.

I will leave you with a quote from one of my little darlings this morning. It will be replacing my kids quote post haste.

Wise Beyond His Years: "Mrs. my stomach hurts."
Me: "Oh?"
WBHY: "Yeah, I think I have cramps."
Me: snort

Currently Listening:
"Ever, Ever After" Carri.e Un.derwood - Enchanted Soundtrack

(They had me at Disney. Add a princess, a love story, and good music and I didn't stand a chance.)

Ho ho ho

I love this time of year with little children. They still (for the most part) believe in Santa.

I had the following conversation with a 2nd grade girl today.

Girl: "I know Santa's favorite cookie."
Me: "Oh, really?"
Girl: "Yep, he likes sugar cookies. I know `cuz he wrote me a letter."
Me: "Oh?"
Girl: "Yeah. My cousin has a piece of his suit. He tore it on the fireplace and my other cousin, she has a bell from Santa's sleigh. That's all I want for Christmas this year, a bell from Santa's sleigh."
Me: "Well, make sure you put that in your letter, so he knows. You must be pretty special to have gotten a letter from Santa."

Ahhh, the magic of Christmas.

Oh, and I found this site today. Go check and see if you're on the Naughty or Nice list. It was actually surprising accurate.
