I'm still here. Things are better on a day to day basis. Some days are great. Others not so much. My first formal observation is over and I did well. So that's good news. Conferences are coming up and I'm the only one (besides the other new teacher) that seems to be getting ready for them. They're "optional" so it's up to us to schedule everything. Gee, thanks. Not too impressed with my team leader/mentor lately, but I'm sure I'll get over it.

I've decided we're going to read The Chocolate T.ouch in reading instead of the stupid basal (which is too hard for my kids anyway), so I'm gathering stuff for that. Any suggestions would be great.
